Ready to make your conversations twice as interesting and twice as long? Meet two of the most useful words at HSK1—two little adverbs that love company: (hái) and (yě)! 🎉 还 (hái) — "also", "still", "in addition"
Use 还 when you want to pile things up: "This, and ALSO that!"

也 (yě) — "also", "too"
Use 也 when you want to agree or add similarity: "Me TOO!"
Where do they go in a sentence?
Just after the subject! (But before the verb.)
Still confused? You’re not alone! Even Lili sometimes tries to “also go also” at the same time. 😅

2. 王建国是老板,刘志强老板。(Jianguo is a boss, Zhiqiang is also a boss.)

3. 王浩然想吃米饭,想吃面条。(Haoran wants to eat rice, and also noodles.)

4. 张晓彤很高兴,很高兴。(Xiaotong is happy. I am also happy.)

5. 陈秀兰去超市,去银行。(Xiulan goes to the supermarket and also the bank.)

6. 你是学生,学生。(You are a student. I am also a student.)
